Cookie Policy - Canada
Last updated 3 October 2026.
1. What cookies are
Small files or similar technologies (local storage, pixels, SDKs) that a website stores on your device to make it work, remember choices and measure use.
2. The categories we use
| Category | Examples | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Shopify cart, checkout and session cookies; security and fraud-prevention cookies; your cookie choice | The store cannot work without them | Not required |
| Preferences | Language/market/currency choice | Remember your settings | Notice; opt-in in Quebec if they identify, locate or profile you |
| Analytics | First-party analytics visitor ID | Understand which pages work and fix problems | Opt-in (see below) |
| Marketing | Meta Pixel and Conversions API identifiers; | Measure advertising and show relevant ads | Opt-in |
3. Your choices and the law in Canada
Canada. Under PIPEDA the Privacy Commissioner accepts online behavioural advertising with opt-out consent if you are informed and can opt out easily; in Quebec, Law 25 requires that technologies that identify, locate or profile you are off by default until you activate them (opt-in). We therefore ask for opt-in consent in Quebec and provide an easy opt-out elsewhere. The banner and this policy must be available in French for Quebec visitors (French first). Meta Pixel and Conversions API data sent to Meta are part of what must stay off until opt-in in Quebec.
You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer, and you can block cookies in your browser (parts of the store may stop working).
5. Who sets cookies
Shopify, our own site code, and the third parties listed in the Privacy Policy (Meta, Google, Microsoft).
