Last updated 3 October 2026.
1. What cookies are
Small files or similar technologies (local storage, pixels, SDKs) that a website stores on your device to make it work, remember choices and measure use.
2. The categories we use
| Category | Examples | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Shopify cart, checkout and session cookies; security and fraud-prevention cookies; your cookie choice | The store cannot work without them | Not required |
| Preferences | Language/market/currency choice | Remember your settings | Notice and opt-out |
| Analytics | First-party analytics visitor ID | Understand which pages work and fix problems | Notice and opt-out |
| Marketing | Meta Pixel and Conversions API identifiers; | Measure advertising and show relevant ads | Opt-out |
3. Your choices and the law in United States
United States. No federal law requires cookie consent. California law treats some advertising cookies and pixels as 'sharing' and requires an opt-out ('Do Not Sell or Share' choice and recognition of the Global Privacy Control signal) if the CCPA applies; some other states have similar opt-out rules for targeted advertising.
You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer, and you can block cookies in your browser (parts of the store may stop working).
5. Who sets cookies
Shopify, our own site code, and the third parties listed in the Privacy Policy (Meta, Google, Microsoft).
